Field Trip to NJ Botanical Gardens

I did some preliminary checking....There is an official day for the planetary walkoff.... Here's the info
June 20 (Saturday), 10 am
Solar System Walk. Celebrate the Summer solstice with an easy 1-hour walk through NJBG's scale-model solar system, where you'll learn about our neighbors in space. Wear comfortable shoes. Rain cancels. $3 Donation.
Hours & Admissions
The New Jersey State Botanical Garden is open every day of the year from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Garden closes only in extreme weather conditions, for example, during and immediately after a heavy snowfall.

New Jersey State Botanical Gardens
Submitted by JohnMiksits on Fri, 08/29/2008 - 6:17pm.I went to see the gardens up in Ringwood today. It's really beautiful. The annuals and perennials are still in bloom. You can spend quite a bit of time up there. Member Maja Britton advised us to see the new scale model of the solar system that runs the length of the Crab Apple trees.
There seems to be some controversy up there with caterer renting Skylands Manor.

Club Meetings
Wednesday monthly meetings are free and open to the public - all are welcomed; light refreshments will be served. Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month at 8:00 p.m. in Richardson Hall, Room 232 at Montclair State University.
