Montclair State University
The campus of Montclair State University is located at the corner of Valley Road and Normal Avenue in Upper Montclair.
From Route 46 East:
Take Montclair exit before junction with Route 3. Once on Valley, make a right at the light onto Normal Avenue.
From Route 46 West:
Take Valley Road Exit and follow U-Turn signs to get to Valley Road South. Make a right at the light onto Normal Avenue.
From Route 3 West:
Take the exit for Valley Road, after the merge with Route 46. Once on Valley, make a right at the light onto Normal Avenue.
Once on Campus:
For a campus map, stop at the information booth at the entrance to the University.
On Normal Ave., the main entrance in on the right. Follow the driveway to the left. The Red Hawk Parking Deck is on your right, but additional metered parking is available near the Red Hawk Diner: Make a right after the Parking Deck, then take the first right up the hill. Metered parking is available behind the Red Hawk Diner - make the first right after the Diner on your right at the top of the hill. This is known as Lot #17. Parking is $0.50 per half hour - pay at the machine at the edge of the lot (remember to display your receipt on your dashboard before leaving the lot).
From the parking lot behind the Red Hawk Diner, walk towards the Student Center (the white concrete building). Richardson Hall (School of Math & Natural Sciences) is next to Science Hall - look for a dark square brick building with white corners next to a little stone building (Peer Counseling Center). It is not far from Lot #17.
Richardson Hall (School of Math & Natural Sciences) is next to Science Hall. The NJAG meets in Richardson Hall room 232 on the second floor. During public Telescope Nights, telescopes are set up on the far side (south side) of the building.
